Job Summary

The Senior Facilities Maintenance Mechanic job series leads and performs a variety of maintenance duties and tasks on municipal buildings and facilities, and provides general services as needed by city departments. This position is assigned to the Aquatics Division, working independently with a team of technicians to provide repairs and preventative maintenance for pools, aquatics facilities, fountains, pumps, valves, motors, filtration and injection systems, various plumbing systems, electrical components and other equipment. A high school diploma or equivalent; some related college or vocational training; at least two (2) years of related mechanical and maintenance experience; and a valid Texas Class C driver’s license are required. Must currently possess, or be able to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire, Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification. A Class B CDL is beneficial, but not required. Must have flexible availability to work a non-standard schedule as needed, which may include nights, weekends and holidays.  Starting pay is $20.48 – $21.95 per hour ($42,612 – $45,660 annually), dependent upon qualifications.

NEW PAY RATE EFFECTIVE 1/13/19:
PAY GRADE GG15 / FULL RANGE $20.48 – $28.89 PER HOUR ($42,612 – $60,096 ANNUALLY)
