Job Summary

Duties include overseeing (e.g. managing, coordinating and monitoring) the operations of the Community Housing Development Organization Program, housing development program, and other special projects including rental housing, Section 108, public facilities, public improvements, transitional housing programs and non-profit housing projects; managing ongoing monitoring and oversight of in-progress and completed Section 108 projects; leading interdepartmental public facility and public improvement efforts, including making recommendations for budget development, acting as liaison with personnel in other departments, reporting performance to various internal and external staff and preparing council agenda items; managing, coordinating and monitoring Community Housing Development organizations and non-profit housing project developers to provide affordable housing units; ensuring federal, board and city performance reporting for areas of responsibility are completed in an accurate and timely manner; and providing backup support for the environmental process. A Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field; four (4) years of professional experience in the direct administration of a federal grant program; and a valid Texas driver’s license are required. Experience with CDBG and HOME funding is preferred, but not required. A résumé must be submitted with a completed application. Starting pay is $4,758 – $5,275 per month ($57,096 – $63,300 annually), dependent upon qualifications.

PAY GRADE GG21 / FULL RANGE $4,758 – $6,709 PER MONTH ($57,096 – $80,508 ANNUALLY)
